Dear Mom,
I didn't know what to give you for Mother's Day,
so I thought I would write you this note.
Now that I am grown an am a Mom myself I
understand the role a Mom plays in their
childrens lives. Unfortunately, it's not always
as it should be.
Not only do we blame ourselves for their
shortcomings but they still sometime blame
us as well. Moms are often taken for granted
and take the brunt of the problems on their
shoulders.
But we can't help it, because we'er Moms and
that is what we are all about. We love our
children more then words can say and we really
don't want thanks or praise.
We just want our children to be happy. So we
will be forever "MOM", nothing can take that
away. and when the children grow up, they
realize just how special and giving their mom is.
They realize they have sold you short many
times as they were growing up and now they
can't go back and change the past. But they
just hope because you are a Mother, that you
will understand and of course, you do.
Mom I probably never told you I love you
because you are you.. I don't need you to
change or be different because then you
wouldn't be my Mom! All things about you
good and bad, make you who you are. Without
the bad side there would be no good side!
And God knows we all have our bad sides.
So don't try to change or be different because
I would miss you.
I know that it bothers you when I have problems
and things are not going well. I know I keep a
lot of it inside and don't share it with you, but
that is my way of dealing with things. Just
knowing you are there for me if I need you is
enough. I know that you love me and would
be there for me no matter what. That is all I
need, it keeps me strong.
Though I may not show it, you and Daddy are a
very strong part of my life. You are both woven
through-out me like the thread of a piece of
fabric that holds it together and makes it what it
is. My job is to take that piece of fabric and
make something of it.
Thank you for the beautiful piece of fabric.
I Love You Mom
